Nordic Dog Trainer – Responsible AI Policy
Message from the founder.
The rapid growth of generative AI has changed how we communicate, learn, and share knowledge. While these tools can help us create and connect faster, they also raise important questions about authenticity, ethics, and trust — values that are deeply important to me and to everything we do at Nordic Dog Trainer.
I believe that real change for dogs starts with honest humans.
And honesty begins with transparency — also in how we use technology.
As AI-generated images, voices, and videos become more common online, it’s easy for people to lose trust in what’s real. Many can’t tell the difference between genuine human communication and computer-generated content. I never want Nordic Dog Trainer to contribute to that confusion.
I’ve spent many years building Nordic Dog Trainer as a space for ethical education — where respect, care, and real-life experience form the foundation of everything we teach. My role is not to follow trends blindly but to explore them carefully, test them thoughtfully, and decide how they can serve our community — without losing the heart of our work: the connection between human and dog.
Our Principles for Responsible AI Use
At Nordic Dog Trainer, we follow a human- and animal-centered approach to AI.
We see AI as a tool that can support learning and creativity, but never replace genuine expertise, empathy, or the ethical foundation that guides our education.
- Humans stay in charge.
All decisions and content creation remain guided and approved by real people — not machines. AI supports, but it does not decide. - Transparency first.
Whenever AI tools are used to assist with writing, translation, research, or images, we commit to being open about it. Authenticity and trust always come before convenience. - Ethics above efficiency.
We will never use AI to create or spread misleading or synthetic media (such as fake images, deepfakes, or false representations of real people or animals). - Respect for privacy and data.
We protect the personal information of our students, members, and partners. We comply with all relevant data privacy laws (including GDPR) and follow our moral compass when laws have not yet caught up with technology. - AI should never dehumanize or devalue.
We use AI to enhance human creativity, not to replace the voice, warmth, or personality that make our communication meaningful. - Transparency in education.
We encourage open conversations about the use of AI in teaching, learning, and content creation — especially as we educate the next generation of ethical trainers and dog professionals. - Continuous learning and improvement.
We stay curious, reflective, and critical about how AI evolves — using it thoughtfully, not reactively. - Alignment with our mission.
Every use of AI must support our larger goal:
To create a better world for dogs by transforming humans through knowledge, empathy, and ethical education.
How We Use AI at Nordic Dog Trainer
We use AI tools carefully and consciously to improve communication, organisation, and creativity — never to replace real connection, teaching, or experience.
Current uses include:
- Idea generation and research (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity)
- Writing support for emails, articles, and course outlines (ChatGPT, Claude)
- Language translation and simplification to make learning accessible globally
- Visual inspiration for educational materials and presentation design (Canva, ChatGPT)
- Summarization and content organization for internal workflow and documentation
- Productivity tools such as speech-to-text transcription and note-taking (Descript, Google tools)
- Video editing tools
Whenever AI assists in the creation of materials, the final result is always reviewed, edited, and approved by human educators with real-world experience in dog behavior and communication.
Final Words
I believe in a future where technology can serve empathy — not replace it.
AI can help us share knowledge faster, but it will never understand what it feels like to earn a dog’s trust or to help a human rediscover patience and kindness. That’s something only humans can do.
Nordic Dog Trainer will continue to explore AI with openness, curiosity, and responsibility and always with the wellbeing of dogs, humans, and truth at the center.
If you have questions, reflections, or concerns about how we use AI, I welcome you to reach out directly.
